Mission:

The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) serves as an advisory body to the Wayne Board of Trustees, offering guidance and recommendations on various zoning-related matters. Composed of members appointed by the President of the Village of Wayne, the ZBA, in accordance with applicable law, addresses property owners' requests for relief from building or zoning ordinances, including variance requests, special use permissions, and appeals of building and zoning department determinations. The ZBA fosters a transparent and inclusive forum for community engagement, where all persons can express their views on issues brought before the board, ensuring informed decision-making and thoughtful consideration of community needs.
