Village Elections
Municipal elections are conducted by the County election authorities. In Kane County that is the Kane County Clerk and in DuPage County it is the DuPage County Board of Election Commissioners. Persons desiring to run for office can obtain information from either of these two entities, or by visiting the Illinois State Board of Elections website, and clicking on the Illinois Candidate’s Portal.
It is important to keep in mind that neither the Village Clerk, nor the County election authorities, will give legal advice on running for office.
